HOUSE 006 is the refurbishment of an old vacation home in a natural park. The intervention preserves the dual character of the two buildings that compound the home: their construction technique, appearance, and program are different and, at the same time, together they form a single functional unit.
The house is divided into three pieces arranged radially, which articulate the program as a single unit: a first volume with the bedrooms and bathroom, another with the kitchen and living room, and a third one with the swimming pool.
In the volume located furthest south, the demands of the new program are adapted to the existing load bearing wall structure. It consists of a perimeter wall and another cross wall, offset from the center, creating four rooms of different sizes and proportions.
